Our Summer...In Review

Holy crap...where did the summer go? I can't believe that school has started and that we are quickly approaching fall! Once again, I have totally let my blog fall behind, this in-turn means a long post with lots of pictures...consider yourself warned!

Cade is totally loving table foods...as you can see!

Yes, I lost the fight...I had the wonderful priviledge of riding on the float with my star!! He did great..even though he jumped on my lap the entire parade route!

This is the best thing that has happened this summer! Cade finally sleeps in his OWN bed and sleeps the ENTIRE night...hallaluja!! I swore I would never put my baby in bed with me...learned quick...NEVER SAY NEVER!!

We have done alot of boating and fishing this summer. Cade loves it and anyone that knows Cade...knows he loves to drive!! He spent the entire time on the boat..just driving! - Cheap entertainment!

We welcomed the two sweetest little babies to the Bateman family. It is a bad deal because they both make me a "little" baby hungry! Good thing they are close so that I can love on them and give them back!

This is sweet baby Gauge...sorry I don't have a better picture of him!

This is sweet baby Bridger! Cade is so excited to have lots of cousins on the Bateman side! Poor Ry she is quickly getting out numbered!

Loved the 4th of July! We just hung out! Cade loved the fireworks..it was un-eventful but lots of fun!

And finally...I decided to have some "professional" pictures of Cade! These are some of my favorites of the bunch!

That is our summer in a nutshell! Sorry it was so long...remember I warned you! I say I will be better about posting...but no promises when there is a child in the house!

First Hair Cut!!

We had our sweet friends over for dinner last night and part of the night consisted of giving Cade his first hair cut! He did remarkably well...Halee is awesome with kids though! I can't believe how it makes him look like a little boy...where has my baby gone?

ONE HANDSOME BOY!! THANKS HAY HAY!!

And the winner is...

So Brock and I debated whether or not to put Cade in the Lehi City baby contest this year, we finally just decided to do it! The theme was "Old Hollywood" so we decided there would be nothing more fitting then to dress him up as "John Wayne!" After totally blowing my woad on boots, a cowboy, vest and of-course the gun..he looked the part...and it totally paid off...he won FIRST PLACE!! It was a lot of fun and we are glad we did it, now we are just arguing over who gets to ride in the parade with him...I think it should be his dad!! Here are some pics!

"Look what I won!"

Cade thought this sweet queen was the greatest...he loved her hat especially!

Cade and Officer Hunsaker!

Trying my best to get him to perform in front of the judges!

The Zoo...

Brock and I have been wanting to take Cade to the zoo all spring! This weekend was the perfect opportunity, the weather was perfect...not too hot and not too cold. We went towards the end of the day so not too crowded either! My mother and father-in-law were watching my neice for the weekend to we decided to make it a family affair and invite everyone to join in on the fun. Here are some picture to show all the adventures...

I think its safe to say that my child looks a little grumpy here but the sun was just in his eyes!

Silly uncle Tyler...seeing if he measures up! Rylee got a kick out of Tyler standing there!

The kiddos enjoying their stroller rides!

My baby was way more into the zoo then I thought he would be. Everytime he caught sight of an animal he would start yelling and kicking his legs...it was so funny! Here he was trying with all of his might to get out of the stroller and attack the peacock!

Family shot!

Rylee and Cade on the lions...they both thought it was great! Thanks Bateman's for a fun afternoon!!

Catching Up..

I know that I probably sound like a broken record but...I am SO behind on blogging! So I decided that I have to do a slide-show this time because there are too many pictures. So, the slide show is of all the things that have been happening in our lives over the last month! Cade turned six months...and I can't believe it!! He now eats food and LOVES, let me say it one more time, LOVES IT!! I took some pictures of him at six months. We celebrated Easter and it was great..it is so fun to have kids for holidays!! And finally, we went to St. George with the Bateman family. I feel bad cause I don't have a ton of pictures of the trip but we got a few at the splash park and Zion! Our lives have been crazy but thats the way we like it because it never seems to change!! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

OREGON..

My aunt has lived in Oregon for quite awhile now and I have always wanted to go see where she lives. So now that I don't work anymore..I thought it would be a great time to make a visit. I talked my mom and my grandma into going with me..we had a BLAST! She lives in southern Oregon and it was so pretty there..the grass was green, the flowers were starting to bloom..unlike Utah right now..they were right in the middle of spring. Anyway..here are some pictures!

We rented beach-house out in a little town called Bandon..it was so fun! This is Cade getting ready to take a stroll on the beach..yes it was a little chilly there.

This picture makes me laugh out loud! We had just gotten in from the beach..his beanie made his hair a mess and he was telling such great stories! Plus I got a good shot of his teeth!

A picture of me and little man on the deck of our house on the beach..so pretty!

This was a classic picture...who ever was holding Cade..had to hold all the kids..they all loved Cade and wanted to be close.

BATH-time in Aunt Jaye's sink..he loves his baths!!

Yum..tea! My little cousins collect tea-cups so of course we had to have a tea party! It was great and even Cade enjoyed it.

Grandma and Cade at the airport...heading for home. Thanks Hill family for such a great week. We had such a great time!!

He did IT!!!

We were beginning to think that this day would never come, but with a few bumps along the way it finally happened and I couldn't be any more proud of Brock!! On Sunday he passed his Journeyman test..what a huge accomplishment for him. He has worked so hard for this and we are all so happy for him. Sunday we had a little surprise party for him with our families..it was great!!

This was right as he was walking into the house..wondering why everyone was there?!?

He is always saying, "When I Journey out I want..." well on his list of things he wants to do is to learn to play golf. Cade and I got him this set of clubs and some lessons so that we can now begin to cross some things off his list! Congrats Babe...we are so proud of you and LOVE you so much, thanks for all you do for our family!!

A Few Milestones...

So we have officially hit a few milestones in our family over the last week! Yep, Cade rolled over for the first time a couple of days ago..when it happened Brock and I looked at each-other like "did that really just happen?" We were shocked..just because Cade HATES being on his belly! So we were so excited to actually have him "want" to roll-over!

The next milestone...a couple of days after the rolling over happened...mom discovered a TOOTH and the second one is very quickly approaching! Yep, my child has officially hit the teething stage of life..and I can't believe it. It made me feel like I don't have a baby anymore. It actually made me a little sad. He is dealing with it relatively well..although we do have our moments!

And the last milestone..not too exciting but yes I did indeed have a birthday. We had a good time..great food at the Texas Roadhouse..followed by WONDERFUL cake from costco (I could eat the whole thing by myself!) I got some great presents...thank you everyone!

Here are some pictures to show some of the crazy "milestones!"

Every-time I look at this picture it makes be laugh out loud!! These two pictures are my attempt at getting a picture of Cade's teeth! Too FUNNY!

I have tried with all my might to get a video of Cade rolling over..but everytime we get the phone out he is more interested in what we are holding then rolling over! So these are some after the event pictures!

The yummy "CAKE!"

My sweet baby and his aunt Amberly enjoying some yummy cake too!

This is Brock, Cade and Koven (my bff Halee's little boy), they both wanted Brock to hold them! Koven gets so excited to see Cade and to give him kisses! Cade loves to watch Koven get around..I think he is getting lessons from him!

So in a nutshell...we have had a pretty eventful week!
